Chalong Bay Distillery: Deconstructing the sublime pleasure of sustainable, handcrafted Thai rum
I unashamedly admit it, I love rum, and I am not alone in my appreciation of this highly coveted spirit. Like most alcoholic beverages on the market, it has the potential to be shockingly unappetizing or satisfyingly life-changing. Fortunately, Chalong Bay Rum falls into the latter category.
Originally launched in 2012, Chalong Bay is a bespoke rum distillery located on the southeast coast of Phuket. They are open daily for factory tours and have a laid-back and breezy open-air venue called “Suay X Chalong Bay” where you can enjoy live music in the evenings. They offer a plethora of tasty Asian-inspired dishes that are tailor-made to complement their signature cocktails.
