Fried chicken and waffles are a classic combination that never goes out of style, but the Clucking Donut in Bangkok Thailand is taking this concept, putting their own spin on it and updating it in the most magical way. Their unique approach starts with replacing the standard waffle with a deep fried cake donut that is crispy and flakey on the outside while remaining soft and moist in the center. The chicken is brined so that it is tender and juicy and expertly deep fried in 3 delicious styles. I highly recommend the starting off with massive Clucking Chicken Sandwich which is a super crunchy butterflied breast served on a brioche bun, with coleslaw and pickles. It is truly life changing.

Launched in April of 2019, The Clucking Donut is brought to you by Chef Christopher Michael his wife Thayadath who are the same powerhouse couple behind the popular artisan coffee and chocolate shop, Malai Chocolate. An award-winning chocolatier from Los Angeles, Chef Chris was recognized as one of the top 3 chocolate shops in America by Eater and named as one of the top 15 chocolatiers in North America by Complex magazine.
